This ever happen to you? PIKE EATS PIKE?

HA i had this happen to me but with a 1.5 pound walleye instead
had them both close to the boat and the PIKE let go!
from that day i always bring a net in my boat now!
or pack a 22 rifle just in case

Was out ice fishing once and had a nice perch on once about 10 incher bringing it up through the ice when bang! A big northern hit it about three feet from the top of the ice hole..

Snapped my line i wasn't ready my drag was not set proper!
So i tied on a live minnow with thick tip up line and dangled it down .. Bang again the PIKE hit hard! This time i got him i was using a good sized triple prong with one hook in the minnows Tail!
got the perch and hooks back!
AND A BIG FAT PIKE!
