hello got a question whats the best chain case oil to use in older ski doos made in the late 1960s i was thinking ATF fluid?

Good old smelly 80w90 gear oil is what I use. I wouldn't want to use ATF if I could help it - it could be harsh to the rubber components down there. Some talk about synthetic & how they use nothing else... I don't get it. IMO it's too expensive, and the good old standard stuff works great. It's what was in the sled when it was new.

I use 10-30 W
with no trouble..
but like Olyman said 80W 90 is good too!

any gear oil i can find once i used semi truck oil not recomended but it worked for one season...
