watch the video above before reading this post! HERES THE NEWEST RATSLED TO join THE RATPACK! I WILL AWAKEN IT FROM ITS LONG SLUMBER VERY SOON AND RELEASE IT ON THE WORLD! ITS BIG! ITS BAD!!! ITS BOLD!!! ITS UGLY!! ITS NOT RUNNING Lol its missing parts!! just the way i like a OLD sled! THIS IS THE BIGGEST BADDEST RATsled I OWN SO FAR,,, ITS Half ripped apart it missing pieces Some stuff was in a box but i think i can still get it GOING! WELL I HOPE THAT IS something about a HUGE tunnel WIDE TRACK,,,ELECTRIC START ! REVERSE with built in stock CIGar LIGHTER!! YOU JUST CANT PASS UP! CAN YOU IMAGINE DRIVING THIS KRAKEN CADiLLAC RATSLED ON A VINTAGE RUN somewhere !! IT WOULD BE PURE BLISS!!! Engine Twin opposed! 447cc? Make Evinrude quiet flite Said to be only 73 DB when running!,,, I THOUGHT THEY ONLY MADE BOAT MOTORS~~~!!! LIKE I SAID SHE CAME STOCK WITH CIGARETTE LIGHTER STAY TUNED AND WATCH ME TRY TO GET THIS GIANT MONSTER RAT KRACKEN SLED ALIVE AND RUMBLING AGAIN!!!!!! HA HA HA HA HA

UPDATE AWAKENING THE KRAKEN RATLED! DeC 19 2011 time 13:00 hours DECIDED TO WORK ON THE KRAKEN RATSLED SINCE THE WEATHER IS HOLDING OUT TODAY -10 only! NO SPARK TIME TO RIP THE Mag off to see whats going on!! time for the old rope in the cylinder TO hold so i can get the MAGNETO NUTT OFF!>>>~~!~ OH YA A STRIPED THREAD FUN!!!! WONT BE PULLING THE MAG OFF THAT OFF WITH OUT FIXING THAT FIRST ,,, wELL IT SHOULD WORK FEELS LIKE A FEW THREADS WERE MADE WHAT DO THEY SAY again about threads one inches of thread CAN HOLD a thousand foot pounds??? i probly only have 4 or 5 - full threads that will hold my puller arm bolts.. IT should work have used less ;D... AWAKE THE KRAKEN!!!!

UPDATE MIsSING sled PIECES!!!! here have peek at this See the two threaded holes on top the chain case whats susSpose to fit in there? GRRRR i hatE IT when people rip stuff apart and leave that way,, IF ANY ONE HAS A EVINRUDE LIKE THIS AND CAN TAKE A PICTURE OR KNOW WHAT part is missing from there message me PleaSE!!! THANKS ~SLEDRAT~!

KRaken update off with the fly wheel! With a Bit of heat and it was off with the fly wheel! Looks like the stator has a chip on stator the coating i guess abit of liquid electrical tape will do the trick? The fly wheel looks dirty and greasey the magnets need a good cleaning! used what ever i had laying around..

THE STATOR IS STARTING TO WORRY ME seeing its cracked on the coating,!!! never seen a motorcycle style stator in a snowmobile before!

URGENT UPDATE !!!! Glad to announce THE KRAKEN SLED has spark! it wont be long now! BEFORE THE RESURECTION! CLeaned this up with a bit of steel wool. Added a bit of liquid electrical tape to where the stator coating was chipped away and i let it dry ! THEN ..... Put back on the starter cup had to figure out the spacers in between the housing and the cup! GRRRRR took a bit of thinking on that,,since i wasnt the one who tiook it apart in the first place.. Put the fly wheel back on and cup and checked for SPARK!! YEP GOT SPARK LOTS OF LIFE! SINGING to myself " OH MY OH MY THE GREAT KRAKEN sled WILL LIVE!! Through the snow it will go!! jiggy jiggu jig jig! NExt on to the carb had to take it off should have did this at first,,got it off now its soaking in a butter tub of gas as we speak.. soon to be blowed out with air!

That carb looks the same as off my old 33hp johnson outboard! Yea, i remember my dad's old Evinrude Norseman skidoo, it used a power pack, kinda like a CDI in todays world.

well after yanking the carb apart its a lil different from what im use to working on mostly tilly and mikuni .. but this carb looks to be very well designed made well!... I bet they did use these carbs on a old outboards aswell good point! Any HOW... Got the tooth brush out and the carb cleaner and some plain ole gas...to clean the the carb out it was real dirty.. but cleaned up not bad,,, In the mean time i inspected the plugs and the noticed the plug boots are close to be not useable... damaged from something?? What wouldcause this ;D

They want to trade for the KRAKEN once its running!! DANG you know im not even done it yet..
BUT two RATS are better than ONE! Pics soon to come
Need the Carb Settings for the the high and low speed! Anyone know?

UPDATE JAN 9 2012 THE CARB IS CLEAN ON THE KRAKEN! AND ITS TIME TO GET OUT THE CARB CLEANER!! Look at all the gunk in it! Got to get this RATSLED GOING! Stay tuned

after a long long long slumber
THE KRAKEN IS AWAKENED!
Put the carb back on added some new fuel lines and in the tank,, put a PRINCESS AUTO = PA inline fuel filter,, bolted up the rewind
set the high and low screws to one turn out on both..
AND here we go!!
IT LIVES AGAIN!
LATER BROTHERS
have get rid of THIS BIG BRUTE and move on to the NEXT RATSLED
STAY TUNED FOR MORE RATSLEDS COMING UP!........

TUNED UP THE OLD KRAKEN EVENRUDE SLED YESTERDAY Because it STARTING TO MELT like crazy out there ! SO i Took it out for A lil BOOT and it RAN NOT BAD! Went to load it off a snowbank on a make shift sled ramp i built. .. .BUT BOY OH BOY I GOT STUCK BAD!!! I Went off the intended track,,, and RIGHT into the WAIST HIGH STICKY HEAVY SLUSHY POWDER!! OH BOY NEVER BEEN THAT STUCK YET!!.. .A few days before that i took a few runs up the ramp with the old elan to pack it down so when it froze i could use it for even bigger sleds if i wanted.. Its alraight but a guy has to stay on the old tracks if HE CAN HA! THAT OLD EVENRUDE IS SO HEAVY !! WHEN I was stuck i decided to TIE A ROPE TO THE FRONT CHROME BUMPER AND TRY TO DRAG IT OUT WITH THE Old YOTA 4x4! NOPE THE KRAKEN BROKE THE ROPE.. I HAD TO SHOVEL IT OUT! AND CRAWL it out i mean CRAWL it OUT SLOWLY ,,,NO SPINNING OR YOU just start SINKing,,, FINALLY I got it loaded into the YOTA 4x4 but the YOTA I CAN TELL HATEs IT HA!

those big old Evenrude sleds are way better on the hard pack thats forsure!
