How difficult is it to install a tether cord on a 335 single?

Hi elanfan Not hard bud you just have to ground it out to the Mag... or your plug..
its a simple spring switch which is grounded to the frame when the cap is pulled off it grounds out to the frame.. makes a complete closed circut... Which shuts the motor off..
best would be to get a used switch

elanfan does your old oly still have a key igniton? on and off ? if so run it off those wires thats the simplest way i can think of.. If it has two wires splice in and hook them up if it doesnt run with yer tether cord in pLACE switch the two wires around.. lol not 100 percent think its a closed circuit..

Well I bought a tether and it has a red and black wire I tried hooking them up to the ignition also tried grounding the black still nothing, what am I doing wrong?

do you have the unit installed? into the frame? you might have to ground one wire right to the motor not the frame... you will have to play around with it..If it was infront of me it would be easy..
