Hi everyone, I have a late 1969 Oly Skidoo bubblenose model sled i was thinking of making a under the seat tool storage box /seat riser I have seen a few on other old sleds they look like they work good?.. But i really don't know? I also dont know how to build one or what i should use to build one??.. Please If any one here knows what i should use or how to make one If anyone here has built one or has some plans or ideas on building one let me know please!

We call those under the seat tool boxes trappers box around here..Seen many elan skidoos with them, Mostly made out of 2x4s and a hinged seat on top. They work great for packing a hatchet plugs snare wire ect..you can even pack a few a few traps.. Ya go for it will your sleds seat about 4 inches higher good idea if you want to sit up more easier on the legs.. heck if you dont like it hell burn it to stay warm out on the trail Think i pmight make one for my elan thanks for the idea! Those tool boxes are neat but unless made with metal wood will hold moisture on the tunnel but then again if painted and sealed proper not that much,, good luck
