Hi got a question .. Ok I just picked up a Old Skidoo Olympique yes you know it a sweet barn find! I think it has a 300 Rotax one cylinder engine . Anyhow i got the motor up and running pretty good.. But noticed the tank is super rusty is there anything i can doo to fix this??? Cause i noticed lots of rust particles in the fuel lines.. thanks looks almost exactly like this sled...  |

 hi Supersled If i was you i run a small clear inline fuel filter between the tank and the carb,, I get mine from Princess Auto here in Canada That way it will save you from having to clean yer carb all the time from chunks or rust and crud.. Some folkz cut out the old tank and fit a elan plastic tank in there some how... hope this helps ya out.. sledrat |

Welcome back 13bodies its been awhile!
what old sleds are you working on now?
X3 on the filter run them on all my sleds and old outboards ...
saves having to clean carbs all the time..

Jiggy It's nice to be back, jiggyjoe! I've pretty much been spending all my time and money on restoring my 1987 honda 250sx. I couldn't help but put chop the front end off and put on a 200x front end. Everything last thing on it has been redone. I've got WAY too many hobbies!!! Ive managed to find another 71 lynx with the Rockwell 295 that I'll be tinkering with now.  |
