MAGELLAN EXPLORIST 110 REVIEW TEN THUMBS DOWN!!!
Just to let every one know i just bought a Magellan 110 eXplorist and im seriously NOT HAPPY WITH IT!! AND dont like it AT ALL!.. a waste of 100 bucks in my books!
I bought this small hand held GPS for the ice fishing season to mark out old fishing hot spots and to mark new found hot spots... Ya right thats not happening with this model!!
I find it way to hard to use and the Navagation toggle control button is all most impossible to use it way to small and you end up taking so much time because you constantly make errors when naming tracks and routes.. ..
No i will never buy one again ,,or recommend one to any one! infact i will try to take it back ASAP..
Will be looking at the Garmin company for my next buy ,,,
One other thing the battery life indicator bar is completely inaccurate it doesnt work all of a sudden the unit will shut down saying low power yet the battery bar say 100% ful on the screenl....
The screen is way to small ,,,And you have to try and scrolll all the time to find your current location on the map,.. very annoying..
IT Does work as a GPS after you read the INSTRUCTION info about 100 TIMES if you can...
And not just that when reading the the pamphlet the person or persons who wrote the instructions
wrote some seriously nonsense in the official write up..
Wow really shows how much attention this company is putting in to its product!
So if you are going to buy one of these Magellan 110 GPS EXPORIST MODELS BRING LOTS OF BATTERYS AND DONT TRUCT IT WAY OUT TheRe It MNAY SHUT DOWN ON YOU AND YOU WILL BE LOST...
I would have rather bought a 5 Dollar hatchet and made marks on the trees as i go WAY SAFER!!
