Ok Howdy Folkz heres a AWESOME VIDEO Tilly carb trick
which should be USED every time your playing around trying to clean a old tillotson carb or
carb on any Sled Or what ever ...and not just tillys any carb that has the needle and seat like that this is ABSOLUTE awesome advise!
Also one other thing you can upgrade the needle and seat to the type of V grooved needle.,..B
asically it will always drop down because the needle has a wire harness cage around it when the float drops the needle is forced to drop or open
on the old style needles they are just flat and easy they can stick in seat shutting off fuel to carb.,,,
So the old trick of a screw driver tap on carb does sometimes work..And thats why you tap it..
the Caged needle type or v grooved needle has way less problems than a stuck needle in a tillotson carb..
Wiseco kits have the upgraded V grooved needle one other thing aswell when you change the the needle in a tilly change both..
CHANGE the NEEDLE AND SEAT not just needle...
Reason being the old seat is worn to the old needle..and will never function that will and you will be pulling yer ass off ha!
and rebuilding it again and again for no reason
Tillotson Carbs are a awesome carby just a lil funky but when set up you can tune them way better than Mikuni
alot finer!
