Well i decided to drag out a old ratsled OLY SKIDOO to werk on abit
reason is i need a old smaller skidoo fer icefishing!
AND THIS OLD 1967 DOO Fit the bill!
Maybe its a 68 dont know I do know it was sitting in decent shape with out motor of course fer quite some time! ,
Ya the temperatures outside were nice and warm fer this time a year~!
so i started at it!!
I cleaning up tank first sloshed the old fuel out and sloshed abit of new and cleaned it out best i could surprizinglty the in tunnel tank is decent! Which is VERY important~!!
but thats another story...
Ok i then greased up the primary drive made sure it worked proper i spun the track over by hand !
after inspecting it over abit i Noticed one set of bogies were completely pooched THE Springs
BUSTED!!
So i found another fair decent set i had on another old sled from a different year..
AND i Popped em on i then started at the new fuel lines and most important a BRAND NEW inline fuel filter was in place!
Then i popped in a donar 299cc ONE LUNGER Rotax motor in And it fit like a GLOVE!
That motor i had sittin on the shelf fer along time now! infact i cleaned up the points and carb on that a few summers BACK!!
oh oh whats goin on here??? i must be getting smarter in my old age HA why do i say this???
Cause its not -40 out trying to get that done! ha
anyhow fer a motor sat fer years it still had great spark since i last cleaned er up AWESOME !!
OK Now fer the Exhaust!! i would have like TO HAVE THE simplecan exhaust like what the original engine had on it
but it was one so i haD TO IMPROVISE ABIT ITS NOT PRETTY BUT IT WORKS AND ITS NOT LOUD HA!
Anyways STAY TUNE THE START UP VID IS SOON TO COME FOLKS!!!
