HERES the tools you need for A RATPATCH hood QUICK FIX.. you will need a Power Drill Pop rivet gun tin snips Some pop rivets dia 1/8 by grip 3/16 Make sure to get rivets a bit longer than needed to be safe.. ..I have used these rivets which i had laying around ,, i find them to small in length these were 3mm by 3mm which is 1/8 th by 1/8 th they are holding and all and work... But next time i will and should have went one size up to the 3mm by 5mm which is 1/8 by 3/16 for a better gripping pop rivet.. You will also need One or two drill bits of the size rivets you intend to use.. in case of the bit breaking some how.. When cutting out your ratpatch out the tin you select try to round the edges on the tin patch just for safety.. Oh ya wear gloves when cutting the tin,, I would use the aluminum rivets they are easier to use and easier on the hood... THE TIN... I used Some galvanized tin 18- 20 gauge max i got mine from a old plumbing furnace shop ,, They have piles of old house heating vents that they throw out just ask a local plumbing ad heating shop for a used chunk of tin heating pipe.,,, The house heating vent tin works perfect.. the thin stuff 18- 20 gauge max galvanized.. . And a of course a old CRacked snowmobile hood.. and You know what to do next... ;D Its not pretty but it works to keep it from cracking more and is sledable...
