carb trouble 1974 elan?

hi i have a 1974 elan skidoo
im having some real trouble with the carb
i think its a tillotson carb hd or hd i dont know exactly...

i took it apart 2 clean it ,,got it back together and all
but it seems like its not getting the gas and the screens between the plates look old and crappy dried up..

any advise?

Well first thing first ,
i would find exactly what carb you have then
i would go to this link and look for a rebuild kit..

There is lots of rebuild kits and whole used carbs posted there you should find something..

On your carb their should be some numbers and the lettersHR or HD stamped on it somewhere..

Best i can doo for now ,, im not a pro like some on here but thats what i doo..
Some say spend the extra on OME parts and all and that OME is the only way to go...
But i have had no problem with the after market tilly rebuild kits so far...ect..
