Tiny Aqua-Vu® MicroTM camera is fishing's next big thing.
Anglers are always on the lookout for new and better ways to locate and catch more fish, and the pocket- sized Aqua-Vu Micro is making huge waves in the underwater camera market.
About the size of a smart phone, the Micro is a complete underwater view- ing system, featuring a water-resistant 3.5-inch color LCD monitor, 50-foot cable and a camera the size of a quarter.
The camera can be rigged to point up, down or sideways, and comes equipped with an attachable fin which stabilizes the camera for trolling or drifting under a bobber. An integrated light sensor au- tomatically turns two invisible infrared beams on or off, depending on light conditions.
"I love this little camera," said walleye tournament pro Tommy Skarlis. "I can keep it in the glove com- partment of my boat, in my tackle bag or even my pocket so it's always handy. If I need to check a spot for fish, it's a lot faster and easier than setting up those bigger, clunkier cameras."
Keith Worrall of OFM on the Ice uses the Micro all year to locate big crappies and bluegills. "The Micro is the most important tool I have in the boat for identifying which schools of fish I have found on my electronics are the ones I'm looking for. A second consideration; many sonars don't cover much water at all in less than 10'. The Aqua-Vu Micro will tell the entire story!"
The Micro is powered by a built-in, rechargeable lithium ion battery that lasts up to six hours. The cable spool is attached to the back of the monitor so the entire unit fits right in the palm of your hand.
It's ideal for fishing in the boat, through the ice, off the dock- or even in above-water applications, such as looking into tight, dark, hard-to-reach spaces.
The Aqua-Vu Micro retails for about $300 and is available anywhere fishing electronics are sold.
