How to tune a tillotson carb?

hi i have a old elan what you would call a rat sled
it has a tilly carb on it ,, I can get it running but would like to know
how many turns out to the the high and low screws on the carb?

any ideas?

To Start off turn both high and low screws in all the way till seated lightly
then back them out one full turn

Open up your throttle when running wide open adjusting the high screw untill you notice a good fast smooth speed and response .. your done

then adjust your low setting slowly untill its running smooth at idle
make sure you have your idle up enough before setting it..
