Been playing with the points on a Rotax 440 Skidoo motor and it seems im having one hell of time! I have filed them three times already! After cleaning them up it seems one cylinder runs for well for a bit a then craps out!
IM really getting sick of S##$$%#@! I think im starting to prefer the newer CDI system! who else here likes CDI ignition systems better?
Is a CDI IGNITION SYSTEM a better system or is it just me???

well tilly i prefer CDI over points in Sleds ,
but in Old outboards would rather have a set of points,,
cause you can always make it home on one coil on the water if you have to! ...
but in sleds if its a one cylinder your screwed!
Thats a good question im undecided!

HATE POINTS BUT LIKE THE OLD IRON TOO
SO I DONT KNOW THATS A TUFF ONE!
OLD IRON CAN BE TEMPERMENTAL JUST LIKE A WOMAN!

I like points
they are cheap to fix
A CDI box can get real expensive and crap out all of a sudden!
Points give you a lil notice before crapping out.,.

use to think CDI was better but now since finding some nice hard to find original made in germany
Bosche points and condensors sets i have to say old points !! my old sleds never miss a beat!
think most here will agree,,,
