I had a elan years back this sled would go every and anywhere the bigger sled cant go!
I would consider buying one for sure ..

The Elan on the farm!
I like the elan used them for years on our farm nice and light bullet proof good sled to go and get ot check on the cattle..Anyways one fall day i was out after some deer..Seen a couple run behind the barn,So i quickly blasted a shot off at them!! Dang it missed em..Then i remembered
i stored my elan back there and guess what i put a hole through the hood and right through the muffler!
Next winter i went to see if the old girl would still start ..With a few pumps of the primer my elan started right up and ran
Under the hood it would fill up the with exhaust from the bullet hole punched through with the old lever action 30/30 winchester!
It was sure a good lil sled ,i just took the hood off and ran it for years like that,,
Its in one of my barns still and i bet it still will start and run good!

You got my vote if i had a chance to buy a new one again i would 1000! We had two elans one was a single and one was a twin. The twin cylinder model it caught on fire the exhaust got to hot it seemed maybe not enough air flow.. Other than that the single ran for years and years till a black bear decided to rip the seat off! I still Used it with out seat for two winters Finally i sold the elan to trapper in our area he used it for years too! Wish i did not sell it now but you know at least it was used well and who knows maybe its still putt putt putting on a bush trail somewhere trapping! Dave  |

Good sleds for the bush trapping i heard over there in the land of the Swedes
they make a long track version elan and they are used for high mountain range rescue!
I would buy one in a heart beat!

Yes your Right bushman In Sweden the had a euro version long track version which would be very interesting to try or OWN~!, heres a TOP SECRET FILE THAT FELL OUT OF truck oF THE Elan model 250F AND IF ANY ONE CAN TRANSLATE THE WORDS ON TOP PLEASE DOO!  |
