Well I'm new to the board, so just introducing myself. Looking forward to bein a part of the group here. Here's a quick shot of the herd so far. After I get the 292 tnt done, I'm going to start rest work on the 65. The red-belied silver slug has been already broken down to help the survival of other sleds in the group. Cheers, Olyman  |

dude those are some wicked snowmobiles!!! How many do you own?? sheesh Thanks lads. I have added one since I took that picture lol. I think there's one, two, three... seven, but they don't all run. Speaking of which, that's too many. I need to sell something. I've been thinking that after I finish my current projects, I can get a few sleds together to sell. Likely sell the 72 oly and 73 bullet... (One of the s.bullets are now in pieces) But until then, I will just keep on trucking on the "projects" ;D Most recent beast I picked up was a 63 R6 with a 148cc Rotax. It's mostly complete which will help a lot when it comes up for it's resto.    |

Thanks fella's.
It is pretty much complete except for a windshield and the strap to hold it on. Has everything else.
I found it... well actually it found me. A fella that lives close by knew I was into vintage doo's and came in to see me one day. He asked first if I was interested or if I knew anyone. At that time I wasn't, until I went with him and had a look see. Turned out it got delivered to my door the next day. So I oiled everything up in the engine, rolled it over a bunch of times first then shot some gas into the carb. It fired up on the first pull LOL!!!

Why would anyone ever want to get rid of that? thats a keeper eddy He said that he dug it out earlier that week for a friend that was going to buy it but backed out. Apparently it was quite the struggle getting it dug out and dragged up to the front of the big building it was in. So even though he had intentions of keeping it for his kid, he said that since the last guy backed out & has way too many projects - he knew he'd NEVER get to it. So he didn't advertise it, just went to some likely sources.... Right time, right place is all I can say. I usually don't have that kind of luck. So speaking of this old sled - anyone have a spare windshield strap just kicking around for a 63-65 to help finish this old girl off?? |

Do you mean that door that opens up, or the pieces that bolt to the HD carb? Neither of those bullets of mine had a "door". But one of them came with the black square "cup" that bolts to the HD carb.
