Go with the Old iron all the way brother !!!! Something not to rare you can find parts for easily But then again even motors and most parts can swap out in a pinch like butter!! Skidoo is a good choice lots made = lots of parts!!

Hi maybe i can help out here, This all depends on weather you enjoy riding or wrenching? I like both so i got both! Vintage and newer.. But as for what model is best? That all depends on what your doing with it? And how much space you have and how much you need a sled? I would go with a more common Older Sled example--> Safari or Citation seems to be a dang good choice and parts are everywhere for them! They are easy to work on and bullet proof,, Skidoo 377 is a good solid engine and the single 250cc oil injected models out of the late 1980s The 250 Citations are very good also ..Not speed DEMON but get you where you want to go! When looking at the motor in a old sled make sure your trying to find one with a MIKUNI CARB SET UP... a lil easier to service and seem to work well.. unless you Are familiar with Tilotsons! Just my 2 cents hope this helps OLD DAWG
