So I just bought my first vintage sled. 82 Moto-Ski mirage 1. It has the 277 in it.
I just put a new piston in it and all new fuel lines. I tried to start it today and had no luck. I have no spark. I don't even know where to start .... Any suggestions?

well best thing to do is check your plug ? Make sure all switches and tether switches are conected
if still nothing uplug the key and wiring harness ,, Check again for spark if nothing if your motor is CDI i would suspect coil or cdi if its points under the flywheel clean then spotless..regap them and check for spark again

Got it running! Replaced the coil and still no spark. Replaced the cdi and it started first pull. I haven't re plugged in the kill switch and tether yet and I also want to see if my old coil is working.

Hi i had the exact same problem with a 277 citation single cylinder
which is basically the same sled changed everything except the cdi finally borrowed one off a friend just to test it and BINGO!! up and running!
glad to hear you got the sled straighten out!
