Hello board I have a old Skidoo olympique 340 and its not running right ! It's takes for ever to start and bogs like SOB when you hit the gas. It' will eventually pick up in RPMs if you fearher the throttle abit open and close ect
Any ideas where I should start to look at? I'm no mechanic by any means and don't want to pay shop rates for a 200 dollar sled!
Thanks

First thing I would do is put a new spark plug in it, then put a new fuel filter on it. I'm guessing it has the kind that screw onto the bottom of the carb and also check to see if it has an inline filter too. Then I would replace the "feed line/pick up" line inside the tank. After that I would unscrew the low end needle (the one without the T handle) and clean it off. Screw it back in just till it seats, then back it out 3/4 of a turn. Then I would take out the high speed needle (the one with the T handle) and clean it off, screw it back in until seated, then back it out 1 and 1/4 of a turn. I'll bet it will run fine after that, but if not the carb will need to be cleaned internally. Good luck!
