Hello there board my old elan skidoo just started acting up on me . When I give it the gas it vibrates and makes a wuring noise? Any ideas what it could be its a one cylinder motor in it too! Maybe a bearing?

Chances are the mounts will look normal. You have to inspect them with a pry bar to really know. Also check your drive cogs for missing teeth and check your track for ripped out windows.

I would do what 13 said try and lay the sled on its one side try the right side to inspect the track? And from my experience with elans that I have if you let them idle along time or just lots of trail busting they seem to ice up between the front cogs ,and very front just where the exhaust pops through the tunnel it's normal I bet their is something wedged between the track and tunnel had the same symptoms many times a BIG CHUNK OF ICE causing u grief! If so take a big hammer and chisel axe or what ever and knock it outta there But CAREFULLY MAKE SURE DON'T CUT YOUR TRACK! You have to finesse it out like a HILLBILLY at dentist ! Nice and slow Sneek outta there even if you have few teeth missin !

Why the does it have to be on the sleds right side?? By the way? So yer Gas don't leak all over under the sleds hood through the tank vent tube on the right side it should be at the highest point and if you don't have a full tank which is rare for me cause im to dam cheap to fill= no mess! But if you have a full tank you can just wrap a rag around the filler neck then you can lay the elan on its left or right Side
