hey guys I have a 76 playcat I don't know if that qualifies as a rat sled but the issue is the clutch will not engage. To start the engine that's in it is a 305 rotax twin - when I start the motor it idles fine if the cat is in neutral everything seems to work fine but once I put it under load the primary spins and that's it. Now if I rev high it will kick in - when I have the belt off I can move the machine by turning the secondary- I don't know if it is a clutch issue or belt issue or horsepower issue. Because the engine is not original I don't know if the belt is right. Any help is appreciated..thanks

Sounds like your clutch need to be cleaned up and make sure your weights are moving freely inside the outer clutch half if its seized up it wont engage proper or squeeze the belt,, take it apart and look at for wear and again for the weights move proper hope this helps
